Xizhimen Mall is the seven-storey retail podium of an integrated
mixed-use property that is strategically located at Xizhimen
transportation hub, one of the two inter-model transportation
hubs in Beijing. The mall is well-served by Beijing’s subway
Line 2, Line 13 and Line 4, as well as the national rail and
bus interchange.
Xizhimen Mall is at a strategic location with
excellent public transport accessibility.
It is well-supported by a larger shopper
catchment from daily commuters passing
through the busy transportation hub, and
middle-class residents from the vicinity.
It also attracts working professionals and
students from the nearby Beijing Finance
Street, Beijing’s financial district and the
universities and technological zones of
Zhongguancun district.
In March 2009, we completed the
acquisition of Xizhimen Mall Phase 2, which
is the basement extension to the existing
mall. After some minor AEIs, Phase 2
opened in 2H 2009, with Beijing Hualian
Supermarket as its key tenant. Shopper
traffic is expected to further improve after
the opening of the linkway to the adjacent
subway and railway stations in 2H 2010.
In 2009, Xizhimen Mall received the
Certificate of Secured Commercial Units on
China’s 60th Anniversary from the Beijing
Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Xicheng
District.
